About Owen Zammit


Owen Zammit is a Toronto-based jazz drummer who is also a dynamic band leader and talented composer. As a student at York University, Owen has adeptly balanced his academic pursuits with his passion for music, performing at local clubs while attaining his degree in jazz performance.
While at York University, Owen discovered his love for the music of Oscar Petersen, Kieth Jarret & Chick Corea. Owen’s musical collaborations with his fellow students, guided by the mentorship of Canadian music giants like Lorne Lofsky and Julio Cortes, have helped shape his musical vision and inform his approach to performance.

Owen Zammit Quartet

The Owen Zammit Quartet is a traditional jazz band that primarily performs standards from jazz legends. We have a particular affinity for the music of Jim Hall and Oscar Petersen. The band consists of piano, guitar, bass, and drums.

Executive Decision

Executive Decision is a jazz band based at York University and the University of Toronto, featuring trumpet, guitar, bass, and drums. We draw inspiration from esteemed Canadian jazz musicians like Lorne Lofsky and Kelly Jefferson.
